Lady Gaga – Bad Romance – HOT HOT HOT

Posted on 10:45, November 10th, 2009 by James

Lady Gaga is back with the first single from her upcoming re-release of "The Fame".  On Nov 23rd the re-release will have 8 new songs in addition to all the previous songs from the initial release.  The new disc is going to be called "The Fame Monster".  Kind of fitting since she seems to be the Pop "monster" of 2009.

Love the new video.  It is wild. LOVE the red undies scene.  Very Hot.

Cheryl Cole – Fight For This Love

Posted on 10:03, November 3rd, 2009 by James

I have been a little obsessed with UK’s X Factor.  X Factor is another Simon Cowell singing competition show.  On this show he is not nasty but supportive – strange.  It is in, I think, its sixth season.  In the past Sharon Osborne was a judge and in the last couple years Cheryl Cole, from the group Girls Aloud, took over for Sharon as the forth judge.

X Factor is different from the states ‘American Idol’ in that the singers are amazingly more seasoned.  I wonder if they are hand picked and less of a cattle call show like AI.

I found X Factor as a You Tube Channel.  I was hooked from the beginning.  Cheryl stood out as a VERY beautiful person who seemed to know music and was very supportive of the acts on stage.  I had no idea she was a singer at the time.

This month her first single from her upcoming CD was released.  It is #1 in the UK and is simple Pop/Dance song and is perfect for Top 40 radio and the remixes are sure to show up at a club dance floor near you.

My big question in the music industry is why music is not more global.  Why do we have certain acts in the states at only hit here.  The bigger questions is why acts seem to only hit outside of the states and not here.  Are we that fickle or have music execs got it wrong here?  Why is it that Kyle Minogue is just now, for the first time in her career, touring the US?  Why is it that Pink is bigger in Europe than the US (until this last year)?  Very strange.  I bring this up because Cheryl’s song is #1 in the UK and I am going to guess that it will not even be heard on US radio.  This is perplexing to me.

I like it.  Give it a listen.  Does she remind you of Shania Twain or is it just me?

The Queen of Pop!

Seriously what the hell happened to Beyonce.  She was always in the picture but now, holy crap she is the "it" lady now.  In my book she has gone from a chart topper to the person to try to strive to be in the music biz.  Sexy, dancer, great vocals, great songs, and those legs…  Dare I compare her to Tina?  I just keep getting more and more impressed with her.

Now she has a new video that is CRAZY hot.  Seriously it is HOT!!

Kate Miller-Heidke – Can’t Shake It

This is one of those titles that says what it really isn’t.  I dare you not to shake it when you listen.

I found this Australian dance tune through a drag-like YouTube video by a fellow Aussie Stevie Bishop.  I have posted both the videos here.

Unfortunately her CDs are not on Zune.net so I am not able to go anyfather to listening to her past her MySpace account.  But even when the few songs that are on her site I have to say, Dang!!  Looking forward to hearing more from her.

Here is Stevie’s version. Check out his YouTube account if you want a good laugh. He is a very funny dude.

Esmee Denters – Outta Here

Posted on 10:41, May 5th, 2009 by James

YouTube singing sensation is coming to a radio near you, soon if I was to guess correctly.

Esmee is a pop music dream.  That is probably why Justin TImberlake has taken her under his pop-inspired wings.   He worked with her on her first single called "Outta Here".  It is perfect for many crowds.  I would expect that people who are young and like Miley Cyrus will love this.  People who like top 40 and R&B inspired pop will love this.  People who like American Idol will love this.  If you are in a gay club I would expect to hear the remix of this, thumping loud.  From 12 to 70 years old she has the ability to hit a large crowd not only with this song but if you listen to her other stuff on her YouTube station you will see that she has a nice soothing beautiful voice.  That is probably why she has so many hits on her videos – in the many millions.

I picked a couple different videos for you to check her out.  First is the making of the song "Outta Here" and her take on Justin Timberlake’s song "What Goes Around".  Both show a star that is just bursting out…  This star is going to shine in a big way.
