so much good music is being lost in the shuffle

Seal came out with a new covers CD last year, it is called "Soul". It is good. Seal is one of the most incredible soulful singers we have on our dear planet today. He could probably sing the front page of the USA Today newspaper and make it sound interesting (if that is at all possible). On his CD there are two stand-outs that I love. 1) Knock on Wood – You know, Amii Stewert from the 70′s. I remember many a day waiting for this song to come on the radio with my cassette recorder poised next to the speaker so I could record it. 2) I Can’t Stand the Rain – Ala Tina Turner. The video for this is below. Seal gives the song some lovin’ and looking sharp at the same time.
I just wrote about Erin last week, then low and behold I run across her new video. She has such a pretty voice. I did give the CD a listen to last week also. It is a very nice mellow sound. I expect that she will be around for a while!!
Lady GaGa came on the scene in 2008 – or at least her face did. She has been writing for a while now for artists such as the Pussy Cat Dolls. Personally I am glad to see a new original dance/pop goddess on the charts again. The only problem with her is she is so fresh that the radio stations are playing her too much. The video below is one of my favorite songs on her new CD. Check out the RedOne remixes on this song if you want a great remix of this song.
The All American Rejects take on Britney Spear’s "hit" Womanizer. I could not stop laughing when I watched this. It is classic. I love the guy in the back to the left playing the beer bottles!!!
